Did you know that Frida employed a folk art style in her work to explore questions of identity, gender, class and race in Mexican society.

A truly inspirational woman, Artemisia Gentileschi is an important baroque painter who rose to prominence despite terrible hostilities towards female artists at her time. Artemisia Gentileschi is regarded as one of the most influential artists of the era in which she lived and her painting ‘Judith Slaying Holofernes’ is one of her most famous works that is still studied by students of painting.
