Santosh Maravi is an emerging Gond artist, who apprenticed under Mayank Jangarh Shyam. We did a fascinating interview with him, which you can read here. This painting talks about a sense of belonging and creating a home through a bird's perspective. An ever wandering bird hopes that a bit of mud and this tree will finally make it feel at home. It wishes that the tree would allow it to settle down and raise it's children in peace and it would not need to wander around anymore.
