Santosh Maravi is an emerging Gond artist, who apprenticed under Mayank Jangarh Shyam. We did a fascinating interview with him, which you can read here. This painting is titled “Narmada”.  The Gond tribes built their living around Narmada river. They have several folklores associated with this river. The painting is a romantic retelling of the legend of the river Narmada.
