Santosh Maravi is an emerging Gond artist, who apprenticed under Mayank Jangarh Shyam. We did a fascinating interview with him, which you can read here. This painting is titled “12 Horned Deer”.  The painting talks about the melancholy of a 12 horned deer who used to find it difficult to roam around in the forest because of his many horns and who would now like to carry his family and forest with him in the same horns.
